Werte grazile Menschen!

“In times like these” (what a hackneyed phrase), it is probably considered politically incorrect for a European (= Grazer Grant) to make a split album with a band from the neo-rogue state of the USA…

But Roadside Memorial from Albuquerque prove with their split part “La Bajada” that the power of music is far stronger than all the political monkey business put together. Music helps to endure the situation and to draw strength.

The musical spectrum of Roadside Memorial ranges from street punk and 80ies hardcore to a Gogol Bordello-like mixture of dub, ska, salsa and punk rock ’n‘ roll.

Side B of the split album is subjected to an extensive listening session, plus interview!

Hier gibt’s erstmal was für’s Auge:

Droni Eye Omi release „Liminal Mass“ on Friday, 9.5.

Droni Eye Omi is a drone doom project from Albuquerque, USA. Bradley Frye, Desert Records boss and guitarist of the stoner metal band “Red Mesa” is on board. There are 2 tracks on the album with a total playing time of almost 45 minutes. The sound sucks you into a universe of sound and won’t let you go until the end. Definitely unsuitable for headbanging, but perfect for drifting off mentally!

You can listen to it and check out the CD on the Droni Eye Omi artist page:

San Eight “Sick Bless” EP digital release on 15.5.

A grunge rock band on graceful? Is that possible? In the case of San Eight from Gleisdorf, grazil makes an exception. Completely broken sound, dirt, cynical heartache and shirt-sleeved songwriting make up the perfect mix on the EP “Sick Bless”. The 90s send their regards – and really captivating!

At the weekend there will be more information about the (first) digital release, a CD is in the works.

On May 22nd San Eight will be playing live at Explosiv, Graz. Here’s something for the eyes first:

Coma System: 1 year “Wired Machines” release with video on grazil TV on 15.5.

Coma System celebrates the 1st anniversary of the release of their great album “Wired Machines” on May 15th. To celebrate, there will be a reupload of the video “Oversampled World” on grazil TV. And – without consulting the band – I’m doing an anniversary promotion:

Coma System – Wired Machines (vinyl) at 18 euros

Coma System – blurred (Vinyl) for 15 Euro

Wired Machines + blurred for 30 euros = awesome, right?
