Heute ist es soweit: Happy Release Day, liebe WORTVEHLA! Das Grazer Deutschpunk Trio veröffentlicht heute (13.11.) ihr Debütalbum “Diverse Themen” auf Bandcamp und den Streaming Plattformen. Ab Morgen, bei der Release Show im Wakuum, gibt es dann auch wunderschöne Tapes dazu! Die italienischen Psychedelic Experimentierer OSLO TAPES machen es gleich und veröffentlichen am 14.11. ihr neuestes Meisterwerk “Låst Comet” auf Tape, CD (beides über grazil), Vinyl und ebenfalls den Streaming Plattformen (über Worst Bassist Records). Und die Ukrainer RUDE RIOT, besser gesagt Gonzalo, erlauben mir den Verkauf der Restbestände ihrer Schallplatte “Dishonor”, um die Band in der Verteidigung gegen die russische Invasion zu unterstützen.

grazil und Deutschpunk: eine Liebe, die mit dem dryba Release 2023 begann und unter anderem mit FEDER 2024 ihre Fortsetzung fand, kulminiert nun Ende 2025 im Debütalbum “Diverse Themen” des Grazer Trios WORTVEHLA.
Es handelt sich um klassischen, schön-hässlichen Punk Rock, Vergleiche könnte man jetzt viele anstellen, das würde aber die Einzigartigkeit der Texte und der teils geballten Aggression verwässern, Zutaten, die schön in die Fresse fahren. Eine wunderbare musikalische Gesichtsmassage, die Wadeln nach vorne gerichtet, die Ohrläppchen angenehm durchblutet und los geht die Audioreise.
Cle hat Wortvehla beim Proben für die Releaseshow am Freitag, den 14.11. im Club Wakuum (Graz) gestört und ein paar dämliche Fragen zum Album und zur Bandgeschichte gestellt. Und sie haben auch der Listening Session standgehalten. |

Happy Release Day, dear WORTVEHLA! The Graz-based Deutschpunk trio is releasing their debut album “Diverse Themen” on Bandcamp and streaming platforms today (11/13). Starting tomorrow, at the release show at Wakuum, there will also be beautiful tapes available! Italian psychedelic experimenters OSLO TAPES are following suit and releasing their latest masterpiece “Låst Comet” on November 14 on tape, CD (both via grazil), vinyl, and streaming platforms (via Worst Bassist Records). And the Ukrainians RUDE RIOT, or rather Gonzalo, are allowing me to sell the remaining stock of their record “Dishonor” to support the band in their defense against the Russian invasion.

grazil and Deutschpunk: a love affair that began with the dryba release in 2023 and continued with FEDER in 2024, among others, now culminates at the end of 2025 in the debut album “Diverse Themen” by the Graz trio WORTVEHLA.
It’s classic, beautifully ugly punk rock. One could draw many comparisons, but that would dilute the uniqueness of the lyrics and the sometimes concentrated aggression, ingredients that hit you right in the face. A wonderful musical facial massage, calves pointed forward, earlobes pleasantly supplied with blood, and off you go on your audio journey.
Cle interrupted Wortvehla while they were rehearsing for their release show on Friday, 14 November at Club Wakuum (Graz) and asked a few stupid questions about the album and the band’s history. And they also stood up to the listening session. |
